I figured we'd keep a rough count for those bringing food. Jprestin just sent me a PM (literally 30 seconds ago) so I'll update the form.

As far as the conditions here's two examples I found...

June 2nd - unknown year

June 14, 1939...

Let's hope it's more like 1939!

Quick run update...

Sinbad has the burgers

I'll have the grill, dogs, buns and potato salad

Grizz is bringing the chips

Bring your own drinks.

And so far we have:

(2) Chili Palmer
(3) Sinbad
(1) Grizzly
(2) apexjeepinjoe
(2) jprestin

5 rigs
10 people

And now the mad rush begins to finish the CB install in the WJ!

EDIT: This is becoming quite the shindig - I hope the weather/roads are nice!

I cant make it out to this. I got my suspension lift for my YJ and Im installing it once my Km2's come. I also got a bumper with rear recovery points so hopefully I can make some runs in the near future!

Rain or shine it is on-correct?
I will likely be able to make it, about 80% sure.
As long as you Jeep folks don't mind my little almost stock Toyota that is.
Chili-I have a SWR meter you can use.

Dogman: Dude, we're gonna miss you. Birthday's are special though and only come once a year. There will be many Jeep runs...Remember-we have a lot of Jeepin to do.

I'm leaning toward not going. Even if we do go I wouldn't try to BBQ in the rain.

This would pretty much be an all pavement trip.

Well sh**...

According to radar the clouds are aren't too far west of Silver (meaning it wouldn't be raining for very long) yet the hour by hour forecast says rain until 7pm...!

At this point I'm 98% sure this thing is off. If it miracously stops raining in the next hour or so and we get sunny sky's it could still go but I doubt that's going to happen.

smart man to check the forum first. I hope everyone does. I agree with you, the rain's fine-it's the mud it creates that causes problems. I know all the side trails I was wanting to go on wouldn't be passable with mud on them.

Screw it - I'm going! Looking at the radar again those clouds are right on the edge of SC and with any luck will be gone fairly soon. I'm at least going to Dan's Ferry and seeing what the weather is like after that.

Maybe we take a trip down Hwy 78? It's still better than being at home...

New Departure time! We'll be leaving Dan's Ferry at 10am - we're going to give the rain some more time to go through...

It's also very likely we WON'T be going to Silver City. Not sure what we'll do - I guess we'll have to wing it...

So if we're not going mud slingin I'm up for some exploring. Like Joe says, the rain never hurt anyone.

I hate to sound whimpy on the mud deal but it's really not a good idea to hit the trails when they are mostly mud.

I am going to pass on today. Not much fun in the rain. And pavement wheeling I get plenty of. Cold, snow I can take-rain or wind I will pass.
Weather report is not looking good.
Now, if Chili wants to start a tube bending party for his XJ, someone call me.
