There should be a head count for the SWO Jeepers really soon. They will be coming up Friday, and I'll hook up with them when the hit the Eugene area. If the weather is nice (haha) the plan is to camp. I threw out the idea of finding some cheap rooms in Forrest Grove, casue i'm feeling old and lazy. The camping gear is packed away.

What do you think about meeting for breakfast Saturday morning? Forrest Grove area, or some place close to the trails?

I'm thinking start out with some of the easy stuff IslandTJ talked about here http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f314/.../#post11412628 ?
I am always down for eating! Food is defintely my friend!!!
All I need is an address or area so I can use GPS to get out there. Once plans are solid, could someone shoot me an email with a meeting location or address?? I would really appreciate it!!!

I would borrow a rig if I knew anyone who had one, but knowing me, I would break it!! LOL
I don't mind backing down or taking "go arounds", just going out will be awesome!! Haven't been out on trails or wheelin since 2002/2003... Had to pull my Brother-in-law out of a mud pit that he got stuck in LOL.. I made it through with no problem in a stock 99 4x4 Ram with 285/75 AT's, his Chevy had a 4" lift with 36's... Needless to say he NEVER talked crap about Mopar again!! LOL

As for the 31's, I kind of figured I would rub, I might go ahead and pick them up until I get my 2" spacers. He only wants $100 for them. I will keep them on seperate rims and change them out when I know I am going to hit the trails...

That's cool... I doubt that there will be a big decrease in mpg between 235 (29's) and 31's... I still have pretty good tread on my tires right now, so I may run them for a bit and have those 31's on stand-by...

Good luck with the steering stabilizer... Last time I replaced one I had to use a torch to cut the bolt off!!

It looks like the SWO Jeepers won't be making it up. They all looked at the gas prices and said forget it.

Hey Benderff, you still going out on the 14th???

ReconBen: Nice to meet you. I have never been, so I am really looking forward to going out. As long as my Wife stays healthy (she is pregnant) and has no issues, I have a green light...

I have no lcue where TSF is, so as we get closer I will need to a good location to load into my GPS...

I'd love to go up with ya'll but unfortunately my transfer is out. Had a line on one yesterday but the guy sold it before I could get there. If anyone knows of where I can find a stock NP 231 that is decent shape and not an arm or leg, let me know. I've been up to browns camp hunting but never wheeled up there so it sounds like fun. My TJ is mostly stock also.

Usually when I head out to TSF, I air down the Jeep at the Rogers day use camp staging area. To get to Rogers from Portland, take US-26 W and then take a left on OR-6 W towards Banks. Follow OR-6, and take a left immediately right after mile marker 33. Upon taking the left, you would take another - left towards the Rogers staging area.

We can also meet up at Coleman's for breakfast, the address is:
55660 Wilson River Hwy
Gales Creek, OR 97117

I might be able to make it out there on the 14th sounds like fun and a pretty mellow group that I could keep up with. Need to get the jeep out there to stretch its legs a little.
