Salem areas

Where is a good spot within an hour of salem? i live just outside of salem and i'm looking for a place i can go mess around for a few hours and come back without having to drive 2 or 3 hours to get there. any ideas?

you can run all over above detroit dam, make it all the way to sweethome if you want, there is also a road that is pretty fun if you go out by north fork, it brings you out at detroit.
