Thanks for the input. I'm designing the registration page now and I'm going to make it optional. People can enter their rigs either way, but those who donate will get a cool decal and the chance at a couple little giveaways.

Update: Unichip is now in too.

And it still needs a lot of work and details, but here's the initial draft of the event flyer.

Thanks Tinga! I'll make sure we make the event worth your club's drive up.

Hey, do you folks think I should charge $5.00 to register to be eligible for prizes, awards, and giveaways? I don't want the money for our company, but I'm thinking since we're going to be offering a decent amount of free stuff, decals, BBQ, etc, it would be ok to ask for a $5.00 donation towards the Yacolt Burn Trails.

Thoughts?

ps. Anyone would be able to attend for free, this would just enter their rigs and get them in the main area for judging and that kind of thing. We'll still let everyone enter to win some items, but maybe we'll do a few specific drawings for people who register and donate the five bones.

I think 5 bucks is more then fair. Are you going to sell raffle tickets for other give aways if you are 5 bucks is plenty fair. If you are not going to sell raffle tickets then I would more then happy pay 10 bucks. It all goes to a good cause and anything thing helps.

Are you thinking the bbq included for that 5 dollar donation or are you going to charge extra for that?

Thanks for putting this together Brian.

Lance

Hey Lance,

We're still ironing out the details on how we're going to raffle/auction/give away stuff so I'm not sure. I'm going to cover all the BBQ. All I know is that I don't want a single person to not come because of budget reasons. This is to have some fun and check out some cool Jeeps while raising a few bucks for a great wheelin'-related cause.

ps. You're very welcome. I'm stoked about it.
pps. I haven't actually told the owners of my dealer group about this yet. (I'm sure it will be ok though, the Hannahs are into wheeling and racing so they'll probably just want to come!)

Brian,

Very class act thinking about everyone and their budget. Either way I will be there. I guess if you go with the 5 bucks there is no reason we couldnt donate more just because right?

If the Hannah's are into wheeling and racing they will be there I am sure. From what I have heard of them they are great folks.
