TILLAMOOK STATE FOREST BROWNS CAMP RUN; JUNE 25th 2011



TSF Browns Camp Run; June 25th, 2011

This is a Jeep Wranglers Only run

Please make sure to have the following:
Full tank of Gas
Food & Drink for Picnic/Sack Lunch
*ATV Sticker (can be purchased at any local store on Hwy 6 for $10.50) Where to get a permit: Oregon Parks and Recreation Department: ATVs ATV Permit Agents
Appropriate clothing
*Fire Extinguisher
*Valid Driver’s license
*Operating muffler with baffles, under 99 decibels
*Seat and safety belt or harness for driver and for all vehicle passengers
*Windshield wipers are required on vehicles with windshields
*Headlights and taillights are required 1/2 hour before sunrise and 1/2 hour before sunset
CB if you have one: we will be on Channel 22

*Required to Run Tillamook State Forest Trails in Oregon. To see what is Recommended go to the Map of the Tillamook State Forest link below.

Washington Meeting Place and Time:
Meet at Salmon Creek Burgerville, 13309 NW Hwy 99 Vancouver, WA 98686
Meet in Greet Time: 7:30am
Depart Time: 8:00am

(Locations Nearby: Food, Gas & Bathrooms)

Oregon & Washington Meeting Place:
Meet at Banks Chevron, 640 S Main Street Banks, OR 97106 (Next to Jim's Thriftway)
Meet in Greet Time: 8:55am
Depart Time: 9:25am

(Locations Nearby: Food, Gas & Bathrooms)

Last Gas Station if needed: (Gales Creek Shell & Grocery 55870 Northwest Wilson River Highway, Gales Creek, OR)
(Can purchase ATV Sticker for TSF Here)

Arrive at Browns Camp OHV Stagging Area: 10:00am
(Bathrooms Avaiable, Short 15 min Rest Break, Air Down, Disconnects)

1st Trail Run "Powerline #6" at 10:25am

2nd Trail Run "Ceder Tree Trail #13"

Stop and have Lunch after running Ceder Tree Trail #13

3rd Trail Run "Hood Raiser Trail #20"

4th Trail Run "University Firepower #10" (if we have time)

Finish at Browns Camp OHV Stagging Area

Jeep is back and all fixed, Also picked up a spare for a new project a 91 Jeep YJ Stock. Lots of room for new Mods so in a few weeks it will be time to start the Mods

TILLAMOOK STATE FOREST RUN; JUNE 25th 2011

Pictures from the Tillamook State Forest Run on June 25, 2011
We had a total of 10 Jeep show up, even a few from another club that was supposed to be trail running the same day and time, but since they where late their members ran with us. We had a great time and the weather couldn't have been better.

Fellow Jeep Wranglers,
The SW Washington & NW Oregon group from Wranglerforum.com is having a GTG for Jeep Wranglers this Sunday at Leonardo’s Pizzeria in Vancouver, WA. We are going to have this GTG every 2nd Sunday of the month from 5pm to 7pm. This is an opportunity for us to talk about and plan future events, runs, meet-in-greets. Run The Historical Barlow Trail August 7th, 2011

SW Washington & NW Oregon Jeep Wranglers

When: 8/7/2011
Time:8:00am - 7:00pm
Where: Mount Hood National Forest

Meet at McDonalds in Sandy, Oregon at 8:00am
Leave McDonalds at 8:30am sharp!!!

Sandy McDonalds is located at:
37445 Hwy 26
Sandy, OR. 97055-9250
(Heading towards Mount Hood on Hwy 26 it will be on your left hand side, right before Safeway)

Who can come: Stock and Modified Jeep Wranglers can make this run (I have made it with my stock YJ and A/T tires).
Trail Description: Easy-to-Moderate; It has Mud, Water Crossing, Rocks, Ruts, Desert, Hills, Picaresque and History.
Enjoyment Level: High

What you will need to bring:
Full tank of Gas
Food & Drinks for Lunch
Appropriate clothing (Can be cool on the Mountain in the evening, and can be warm in the afternoon)
CB (We will be on Channel 22)
Camera (We plan on stopping at a few Historical locations on the trail for Pictures)
There are no Bathroom so bring you own TP and Bags
Calm and Relaxed enthusiasm

We Plan to eat Dinner at “The Sportsmen’s Pub & Grub” in Wimac, Oregon

This will be one of the best runs so far this year, you won't want to miss this one.
