Hey, what axle are you putting under your TJ?

I've got the stock D30 up front. I have to get it regeared to match the D44 out back. Going from 3.07 to 4.56.

Sweet looking rig. My better half and I do mostly forest roads, take pictures, plinking (when the dawgs aren't with us) and although mine is set up for hardcore I enjoy exploring back country roads, old timber camps, ghost towns and the like. I hate breaking things and prefer to hook up with a group just in the off chance something does break. You are talking about installing your lift, have you done so and any pictures yet?

I ran a 30 up front on my 86 CJ-7 for years and never had an issure with it. 4:88 gears and a lock right pushing 35's on some of the toughest trails in SoCal.

I'm cool with the axle and may upgrade to chromoly axles one day. I'm not interested in putting a D44 up front for now. I just need to match gear ratios. I'm starting to go through wheeling withdrawl. Its been two months since I started this swap.

Got mine back today, can't drive it myself so the girlfriend chauffeured me around to the grocery store, Home Depot, Sears, etc. But the knee is getting stronger daily, anyone care to do some fireroading on the weekend of the 16/17?

Jeep stuffffffs

Hey, I'm just going to post it for now in Thurston that I've the stock 06 Rubicon lockers, F&R, the 4:10 gear sets, front axle shafts, unit bearings and misc. parts. The Jeep has less than 66,000 on it and has never been wheeled hard so all the parts should be good for a mile or two more. I ain't looking to get rich over this deal and yet I'm not going to just give them away. So let's talk.

LOL. No, I haven't actually. I still have to regear the front. I'm trying to get it done by the end of the month for the Wheelin' With Warriors event in July. My wife just gave birth to our daughter on Friday so that kind put everything on hold for a few weeks.

Congrats!!!! How many kids do you have now? I feel you on the no/low budget thing. Haven't been able to afford anything for my rig in a while.

Thanks, brother. I have three now. Two boys and a girl. It definitely sucks wheelin' on a budget. On the plus side it requires some creativity.

3?! That sounds like a handful. It does require creativity!

I started making side armor at a buddies house today. Hopefully it will be finished in a couple weeks when I have a chance to get back up to his shop in Goldbar!

BigWhis, they are definitely a handful. I'm hoping to get the Jeep done by the end of the month and a shake down run at Elbe in early July. I'll let you know when if you want to wheel.
