I like trails though. Do you guys know of any other legal places to wheel in the area?
Right now your trails are somewhat limited - primarily due to the amount of snow in the mountains.

I do have a motorized access map of the Couer d'Alene River Ranger District for northern Idaho that shows which trails are open and when. We can meet up and I can give you one. I'll be bringing them to this Friday's Meet n' Greet in Spokane Valley.

Once the snow disappears, there's seven recognized 4x4 trails in the Colville NF which is north of Kettle Falls and a lot of trails in northern Idaho.

Hey. I just joined this forum. I am in spokane. Just thought I would get out and say hey. Looking for places to try my jeep out. Anything not too far away that is good for wheeling? Thanks!

The only place that's currently legal to ride this time of the year is 7 Mile ORV Area on the NW side of Spokane. if you go to www.wohva-map-catalog.org and look for either Riverside State Park - 7 Mile ORV Area on the left side or click on the icons nearest Spokane, you'll find the information about 7 Mile.

Or you can PM me for either my e-mail address or phone number and I'll be glad to share that are plus other trails that will be open once the now disappears from the mountain areas where there's quite a few trails - more in northern Idaho than NE Washington state!

Currently the Colville NF Motor Vehicle Use Maps which show authorized motorized roads and trails in the Collville are out of stock, but I can show you what's up there. Also have a map for the NF just NE of Couer d'Alene.

Also check out the "Spokane Jeep Meet 'n Greet thread elsewhere in this forum. We're getting together this Friday night.

Nice to know you guys are letting us know. I have my kids and other plans this weekend. Next time!

Last time I was there, I found a couple great lines required severe flex not not afraid to rub up against the dirt - Rocker guards required. I never see any go up those and had the funnest time I ever had on these two lines. Especially this one. It is way in the back across the creek. Not in that open area everybody always hits and not quite all the way over to the fence by the highway where it is super sandy, but somewhere in between there. You have to cut back and forth to get through and get super close to a tree on the left side. I think it's the toughest thing I found out there besides the rocks.

Take video and pics where you can and post! I got the itch! Pretty much every other weekend, I'll be game to go wheeling with you guys! Starting next weekend. Just post up here, call or PM me.

Spokalu said he would be up for going and that he was going to get a hold of Talon but I haven't heard anything. I don't know of anyone else on this forum going. Everyone else is on wrangler forum. I've got no back seat and the passenger seat in mine is filled already.

You found a seat yet? I'd imagine there will be a number of seats available over in WF. You want me to ask? Here's the thread if you want to do it yourself. Either way I'm sure we can get you a ride.

Cool. I'm putting the word out now. If no one steps up I can try and find the brackets for my back seat and install a seat belt if you don't mind riding in the back of my POS TJ with a YJ back seat. There are a few people from Post Falls that are supposed to be going. Hopefully I can hook you up with one of them.
