ocean beach search

My wife and i are visiting family in gold bar, washington in july. We want to visit a beach along the ocean fairly close to there, but have found very little info. Does anyone have any ideas that knows the area. Thanks!

You're going to have a heck of a drive to get to "the ocean." If you want to see some nice water on Puget Sound, however, Gold Bar isn't too far from the Mukilteo-Whidbey Island ferry terminal. A nice shore drive around Whidbey wouldn't disappoint.

If you really want to invest in a day trip, take the Anacortes ferry up to Friday Harbor on San Juan Island, or to Orcas Island.

I'm pretty sure they're not, and likely never will be.

Reiter is getting fixed as we speak. Check the DNR and the forward-looking recreation plan.
