New CJ5 owner checkin in plus looking for an engine builder.

New CJ5 owner checkin in. Just picked up a 1974 CJ5 that was actually my first car but sold because the family thought the steering was to scary (still scary). I just bought it back from the guy we sold it to 20 years later and plan on a slow restoration and enjoying it with the wife and kids. Not looking to build a crawler, just a nice driving, clean rig that I can cruise around town and take it down some mild trails with the wifey. Any thing that could leak is leaking. It does start, drive and stop though so that's a start. Motor has low compression but runs. Anyone recommend an engine builder or place to pick up motors for a decent price? I am in the Bothell/Lynnwood area. It has a Buick HEI 231 V6 transplanted in it and its a riot to drive around town. Hope to meet up with some local Jeep groups. I have a ton of questions about original parts and where to find them. See ya around (listen for the air horn if you see me)

Welcome. I also have a '74 CJ5. Nice looking rig you have there.
