Ok I got my CB in the jeep and tools to disconnect the front sway bar.

Does somebody think they might have a minute to help me get my CB getting good reception? I got a little antenna on my tire rack for it but I've never used the CB. If not, no big deal... I don't wanna be "That Guy" that needs help with everything haha.

I just got done welding it back up last night, included fabbing up a brace to the opposite frame rail. The springs and other items I had to pull for access will be going back on tonight. She'll be all buttoned up and ready to go well before Saturday. It's an ugly weld job but I think I got some good penetration after grinding out the fracture into a deep "V" and a lot of over lapping weld material.

Can't wait to hit the trail.
That's crazy about the track bar. Never seen one crack before. Myself and my brother in law are defiantly in. See you Saturday.

No problem. Let's see what we can do when airing down.

I borrowed a friends SWR meter to help another friend tune his CB in but I'm not sure if I still have it or if my other friend has it. If I still have it I'll bring it, but I think my other friend may still have it . . . so don't count on it. We'll see what we can do.

Did you guys hear about the two guys that went over a cliff the night before last out at Evan's Creek? The news report said it was after midnight when they lost control of their jeep, went over the cliff and rolled. One guy was knocked unconsious and the other went for help. Apparently, he walk for several miles in the snow to a fire station. I think they said he didn't have any shoes on and only a light jacket. When he took them back to the crash, the other guy was gone. After they searched the area, they found the other guy's body a few hundred feet away.

Wow, that's crazy! Wheeling by yourself that late with no provisions?

There's still snow up there?

Aw man! That's horrible. There are not many things in this world that I declare that I hate. It's such a strong word to me. . . . but I hate deer. Sorry to hear about this.

I dunno. . . I can't speak for everyone here but that sounds like it would be fun.

Personally I'll need to wait until December til I can head out again. I can manage one wheel'n run per month due to free time / budget. And this run is it for November.

Post up the run, though, and see if people are interested. I know I do want to explore Elbe some more as I rarely get down there.
