I'm trying to get Doug to go. He can't get rid of his vibes
Didn't he just have his jeep re-geared? When I had mine re-geared to 4.88's I had to have both drivelines rebalanced and the rear one they had to cut the stub shaft off and reweld because it was out 30 thousandths of an inch, I picked all sort of vibes because the driveline was spinning like 30% percent faster so that could be his problem. Hope this helps.
you turn off the main road on to Skate Creek Road (that's the road that goes from ashford to packwood) then at the end of the long straightaway, veer right.
it's only a mile or two off the main highway tat goes to Mt Rainier Park.
I have my doubts that much progress will be made past where we kept getting stuck last weekend unless the base snow has froze and not be so sloppy.
don't count on me showing though, i still need to test drive my POS and see what tonight's wrenching resulted in fixing or making worse.
Im from Centralia originally...live in Lacey now (after being all over the world 20 yrs in the military).
Anyways...where is this Ashford road that ties in to Randle?? It goes all the way over to Hwy 12 then?
Im very interested!!
Ditto, retired AF Flight Engineer. Yes Vince, if Monte can get us that far. He and his rig is pretty capable. It's off of Hwy 7(706) just before Mt Rainier Park entrance. If you want to meet up, meet me at Shell Gas next to Fred Meyers Hwy 7 and 224st at 0900.
This is what the area looks like in the dry

After leaving Mineral we found our propsed route blocked by a gate, so we went back to highway 7 and took another side road and found the snow was much deeper at lower elevations from the previous snow bashing, and it was a wetter snow.
In my attempts to pull Andy back on the road, he slid off again.
