Just finished my lift and tires on my Jeep. Looking to make a test run in the next few weeks. Nothing too crazy... But would like to hit Walker Valley with someone or a small group who knows the trails.

I have been on all the trails at one point with an ATV... But it is a whole new game with the Jeep.

I want to be able to test things out and get a feel for the new setup without ending up on a trail I have no business being on.

New setup:

Byron Haner - Wickersham, WA
2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon - Electric Green - 35x12.5R15 Goodyear Kevlar MT/r's - 6 Speed Manual
RE 5.5" LA Tri-Link - MC Rockers

Weekends are the best.

At least for the next month or so. Work is crazy this time of year.

The only place I know that's worth activating your four wheel drive is down in Skagit County. It's the Walker Valley OHV area off Highway 9.

The only offroad club I know of in Whatcom County is the Rainier Ridge Rams. I'm not sure how active they are though. Their website is pretty dead.

Welcome back to the area.

I've got to do some work to my Jeep before I take it anywhere, but when I get it up and running again I'll give you a shout.

During my last offroad trip to Elbe Hills I bent my front control arm mounts.

If you need a hand sometime give me a shout. I have a pretty decent garage here at home and I'm the sales Mgr at the Chevy dealership and have a few guys in the shop that are pretty helpful after hrs.

Hey jackrabbit, if you ever need a good jeep guy to work on your rig talk to Jason at Complete Auto Repair Service (CARS). I've known him for years and I would take all of my vehicles to him from Olympia because I trust him and he's not a rip off.

And be careful out at portal. I've found boards with nails, bumpers and all kinds of crap in those holes!
