There has been quite the Jeep boom up here. Most of them are lifted JKs but that's okay! I did see a Jeep on the Steese last week that had the driver on the right side. And it wasn't a mail Jeep I checked. Anyone know why someone would import a totally stock JK just for driving on the right side?

Thanks I wish there was more lifted YJs up here. I've only seen a few in Fairbanks. Most lifted Jeeps in town seem to be JKs and the occasional TJ.

FT. Wainwright is going to get bigger soon. (My dad was Garrison Commander so I got the inside scoop) Only bad thing about wheeling on post is there is a like Park Ranger guy (Not an MP) with a mustache who patrols near the ORV trails and has harassed me before when I was wheeling and when I was walking my dog.

Sure there are better places to Wheeling than on post.. notice in AK they are more strict than lower 48 post with wheeling on post.

I haven't really found any other spots. On post there is tons of ORV trails, mudholes, and rocks. And majority of the time I'm out there I see other rigs so it's nice to have extra help if you need it. Where would you recommend I check out?

a pic of my 76 cj5, now sporting 33x 1550 tires ,and an upright warn 8 k period correct winch. I ditched the gas guzzling v8 for a 258 inline 6 and changed power steering to manual for reliability and simplicity and welded the spider gears in the rear I get a kick out of following quads and utv's around with this full size 4x4 up here in Nome.

Great family picture you should print that and frame it! Cj5 you don't see many of those rolling around. Should have gotten a snap shot, enjoy the end of the iditarod for us all.
