hey all, i used to go to uaf. other then some of the trails up off chena ridge, and all the spur roads on the way to the hotsprings, the only other spot ive wheeled is down by the river off south cushman. ive seen some of the trails around birch hill on base while i was fighting forrest fires, but never got to wheel on base.

what other places around fbx do guys wheel?

Fairbanks Creek is a few miles out of town, there's a trail there. 55 Mile Trail is on mile 55 of Chena Hot Springs Road, AWESOME trail. There are others I haven't been to, off Murphy Dome and on the way to Delta Junction or Anchorage. Where are the trails off of Chena Ridge? Where do they start and where do they lead?

That's good because 33s are hard to find here in Fairbanks. When I was looking to buy my 32s or 33s I found plenty of 31s and 35s.

Exactly...1200 for rims and meat is a great deal in Fairbanks. My trucks shoes cost $1800 for black rock crawlers and 35" swampers from 4WP.com.

Amazon is the best way I found to get stuff in Fairbanks. Select the free super saver shipping option. Got a borla exhaust for my TJ and side steps for my wifes truck with free shipping. A friend was complaining about tire prices here so I directed him to Amazon. He got them shipped up here for free and saved a ton. I am looking forward to finding the mile 55 trail mentioned here!

Just got to Fairbanks recently, and would like to wheel with you guys sometime. If you plan an outing, please post it up on here.

Great minds think alike, but so do serial killers. Thanks.

i just started wheeling around fairbanks couple months ago. haven't been to many places other than light trails for camping. for wheeling, i've only been to approach hill and sage hill on fwa. just signed up for fairbanks offroad lions . i haven't met up with them yet, but i'm looking forward to it. they seem to be the only club in fairbanks that wheels.
