New Jeeper in AK

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. I am curious how many folks on here are in the Fairbanks or Anchorage area? I've been stationed in Alaska since January 2002. My project truck is finished and now I have moved on to a Jeep. Just wanted to see who was out there.:tea:

I'm in Fairbanks!

Right On! Are you stationed up there or do you live up there?

We'll have to do it when I get back from Iraq in September. I guess I'll have to create a Fairbanks Jeep Group. Once I do, I'll post the link here.

Good stuff, there are another two guys at work with Jeeps, and they seem interested. We'll see what we can get going... After September we might be able to get some nice snow action going on!

Good stuff, we definitely can get a nice ground wheeling around here. Today we had some rain and I took the Jeep wheeling around Birch Hill, the hill was muddy and I had some fun exploring all the different trails.

I spent another two hours today wheeling around Birch Hill. There are so many trails around that hill it isn't funny! And that's discounting the ones that are off limits... If you take your Jeep down ATV trails (I do), then there are even more! Seems like I'll be doing some lunch time four wheeling in Wainwright.

I didn't take any pictures of wheeling in the ATV trails, but I should tomorrow to show how narrow some of them are.

Got to flex my suspension on many of the trails that were rutted and eroded from this years fast snow melt.

Mud holes provided the perfect Jeep wash...

Nothing like four wheeling fun 20 minutes from home!
