For what it's worth, there's a HUGE 4x4 community in Alaska (none are Jeep specific). There is a local forum, www.alaska4x4network.com, and a series of Facebook groups for the clubs, that most of the online communication takes place within. There are a few guys that obviously hang out here, Pirate, etc. (I'm fairly active on the Scrambler board), but for the most part our scene is very local. In Anchorage, look for Alaska Extreme Fourwheelers. In the MatSu Valley, look for 2 Broke 2 Play. There is also an annual Alaska 4x4 Meet & Greet that takes place over Father's Day weekend, and for the last several years, it's been at the Museum of Alaska Transportation and Industry just outside of Wasilla.

Just picked up my new 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a hefty price tag of $800 a couple weeks ago. Just been fixing little ZJ things.Thinking of ordering the Kolak exhaust.

Maybe is it a TJ? I'll keep an eye out. I've probably got the ugliest YJ dark blue with some crazy faded blue decal stripes on it and stock height suspension. I have a DBS 6" lift planned and found a guy in Wassila who sells jeep parts for a decent price so probably gonna get rims and tires from him. So right now it looks ugly but I've got plans.
