Thanks for thinking of me the jeep has been running fine for the last couple of days. I did change the fuel filter and ran some sea foam through the gas. Temps only been to the low 80's today so i haven't been able to test my vapor lock theory again. Im just hoping it was maybe some bad gas.

Ok... It did it again... Temp is 77 i jumped out of the jeep as soon as it died and opened the gas cap, no whoosh of air releasing. Tried to start it back up immediately and no go... Opened the hood and touched the fuel rail... It was warm but i don't think it was warm enough to boil or evaporate the gas... I went back to start it up and it fired up first try. So there goes my vapor lock theory. I did not have the gas pressure gauge on me to check pressure. I did just change fuel filter. Im stumped.

Maybe try disconnecting the battery and touching the terminals together resetting the pcm.. Maybe an electrical issue?

I had the pcm replaced a few months back... I talked to the stealership about having it checked but they said if there is no codes or cel thrown, they would have to charge me to do so.

If i reset the pcm, could it mess something else up?

Its not really reseting pcm more or less clearing any stored data like from all your sensors. The pcm will have to learn the sensors again . It will not harm anything . Im out of other ideas at the moment thats why i thought give that a try. Kind of been searchin other threads to try to find the same problem but nothing so far .

I can't believe I just thought of this...

I had an old 88 dodge pickup that I bought used... The computer went out, and the guy replaced it, and then was having intermittent starting problems. It would die and not start, but then magically start. Brand new computer. Well, he sold it to me, and I replaced relays, pickup coils... Everything. No help. Ended up being that %^*# new computer. Got it replaced for free... Never a problem again. Might be worth trying.

I drove home from work, which is roughly 20 miles, picked up my kid from the sitters and went to les schwab to get my g/f tire fixed... It drove wonderfully. No hesitations nor did it die on me. I sat at schwabs for about an hour, went out to start my car and it did not start. Temps were about 90 yesterday. I had to leave it there until temps dropped and it started back up. I picked up some autozone camshaft and crankshaft sensors to test if that is the issue. If it is i will go buy mopar. This is one unhappy camper. Seeing all the wj's in my area not broken down. Im jealous of their working vehicles !!!!!
