Overland's always come in Quadra-Drive and 4.7HO, 02's usually come with Up Country aswell and full skid plates.

I vote no because it's higher mileage and it's not a 4.0 (yeah I'm biased so what). If it was a clean 4.0 I'd say sure but no where near $5,000 for it.

With $5,000 cash think about what you could do to your current WJ to make it much better than any Overland (minus leather or whatever else they come with). Hell you could stroke it, axle swap and re-gear for $5,000 and then some.

Man I didn't even look at that Overland because I would offer them $3,500-$4,000 for it. There is NO justification on even $5,000. Sure we're all Jeep enthusiasts and we know what the hell that Overland is...all the dealership knows is that it's the cat's *** in the Grand Cherokee world. Not worth $5,000 though.

Remember just because fluid was changed doesn't mean it has a lot of life left in it.

Josh...let me ask you something; how long have you had your WJ? If it's been for at least the past 70,000 miles why bother looking at something else? Are you looking for a snazzy DD or are you looking at the HP/torque rating along with the already 3.73 Dana 30/44 combo?

The motor in my 99 WJ has about 195k on it and it still has plenty of power (4.7l). As long as the test drive goes well and you make sure there's no rust problems, I don't see any issues with it, but obviously try and talk them down in price.

2000 TJ - Build in progress... slow progress
somewhat ordinary tj build

1999 WJ 4.7l - needs muffler, rotors, tires, and will be roadworthy
