Wj wj quadra drive vs wk quadra drive 2

Hello:

I have a WJ 4.7 4x4 with the Quadra-Track II.

I am going to sell it and I was looking to buy a WK with a Quadra-Drive 2 or a Wj with Quadra Drive. One has limited slip electronic diferencials (WK)and the WJ comes with the vari-lock.

Which will performe better offroading?

Thankyou

WJ solely on the solid front axle. WKs have IFS.

same transfer case, yes, but Quadra-Drive has limited slip axles.

The difference being that on a WJ, the system is mechanical, where on a WK, it's electric.

So then the vari-lok and the limited slip are pretty much the same, right? Then it all comes down to the solid axel vs the independent suspention. Thank you guys for your help and information. I will stick to the WJ. I hope I can get one with the 4.7 HO

Look for a low milage 04 not from the rust belt. By 04 they got most problems ironed out.

lol. Some members on here live in northern states where they use tons of road salt in the winter, or live next to an ocean. These vehicles tend to rust a whole lot.

We are lucky, in that we have little to no rust living down here.

You want a lease return or GOV buy back if from a dealership. Or a private sale from someone who drives it every day for work. Anything else walk away.

As a note every 2002 Laredo with the 4.7 and select track was a government vehicle. Had all maintenance done by a dealer and had mopar battery in the battery tray.

You may not get snow, but in the monsoons you do get the rain, especially around the "Spaghetti bowl". Welcome to the forum.

No you could buy one in the Laredo although most dealers opted fot the 247 QT.

I bough mine in Aug 02, wifey was visiting in laws, I stopped by a few dealers to get quotes, most accomodating dealer gave me 500 below invoice land 3500$ rebate.

It came down to a Laredo with leather, sunroof, 242, Trailer tow or a limited with quardra drive. Lareod was inferno red and Limited was black, wife liked the red on and it was 3K$ cheaper so cash was tight so we bought the Laredo, handed over the check for 27500 and have not looked back!

Funn part its twin showed up at the local junky, I pillaged it for parts, sad thing though the jeep in the Junky was really nice, but I am guessing the tool who owned probably did someting stupid to it!
