Check wiring in drivers side door "boot" between door and body for any broken wires.

This. It's a broken ground wire running into the driver's door.

try unlocking our jeep with your remote right underneath the passenger side mirror.. if it works there then it's your antenna that has gone bad. my wife's 2004 wj remote lock only works from like a foot away from the mirror and I need to go into the door panel and fix the antenna (small black box inside the passenger door). luckily my 2004 wj still works with no problems.

Hey guys, so I've been looking for information regarding the issue with the power locks and windows not working. It initially started with none of the power things working when the passenger door was open. If it was closed then everything worked fine. Then the other day everything on the passenger side stopped working - both the switches on each door and from the master control on the drivers side. Unfortunately, the back window was cracked and now I can't get it to come back up. Most people who have this issue have a broken wire in the boot. I checked the wires on both passenger side doors and the driver's door and they look perfect. But, I only checked the section that goes to the door. Could there be a broken wire on the end that goes into the frame?? If not, any suggestions?? Luckily I'm in Albuquerque where it only rains like 10 days a year, but I'd hate for a random summer storm to flood the car with the window being cracked open.

The wj I am currently working on has no windows operating and no locks are operating. could this be just the drivers or pass door causing it all? or what else? the other thing is the pass tail light isn't working even after I've replaced it with 3 bulbs none work.

I still haven't figured the problem with mine. All the wires are intact. A guy at Advanced Auto Parts thinks it may be the motor involved in the locking mechanism. But, I do also have had issues with my brake lights, which I hadn't thought was related with the doors but may be. The bulbs are all fine, and the brake light on the trunk door works.

I dunno if this will help or if you tried it already, but disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes and reconnect it. It'll reset the computer and may solve some of your problems.

I messed mine up by pulling the stereo while the battery was still connected. (I know, I know). After six months going crazy with no power locks , and giving the dealer $50 to tell me the fobs were fine, I stumbled on this tip. Voila.
