WJ P0455 Need some suggestions
Check engine light is on with only 1 code, P0455. Replaced small hoses at engine and replaced the LDP (leak detection pump). Gas cap had been replaced previously, less than a year. I'm running out of time and don't have the money to go to a shop. Just looking for some previous fixes by other people. Thanks for any responses.

Running out of time...? For inspections? Mine has been on for some time as well. Replaced the gas cap and then gave up.

Just disconnect your battery in the parking lot of the place when you go inside. Hook it back up when you come out to drive through. That should give you leeway to pass inspections and deal with it later. When I unhook mine and keep the gas tank full, my check engine light doesn't come back on for a week or two +.

I have the same issue, unfortunately no solution. Fortunately I have no emissions testing here, it's just an annoyance. There's another current thread on here about being failed because drive cycle isn't complete, so clearing the code may not squeak you through.

There is a vent valve at the LDP that fails and causes that code. It is separate from the LDP. Try replacing that. Also, drop your rear bumper and inspect all the hoses at the charcoal canister.

On my previous WJ, anytime I "topped off" while pumping gas, it would throw this code until I discoed the battery. Once I stopped topping it off and just hang up the pump after it stops on its own, never got the code again.

I can't see what year your Jeep is on mobile but my 02 had a cracked hose at the LDP behind the driver's side of the rear bumper. $10 in hose and I was back in business with no codes.

Figured it out, you will be humored
Here's the story.
1st- feel like an idiot for being Chrysler certified based on these jeeps lol
2nd- replace a working ldp that wasn't broke (if it aint broke don't fix it)
3rd- finally take the time to lay under the jeep and see cracked hoses everywhere
4th- went to dealer and bought the premolded hose set and it was needed bc one hose makes 3 90degree angles. don't fight me on this one. my temporary duct tape job didn't work but proved what the problem was. P0442 came up
5th- test drove vehicle after 30 minutes of work. light went out by itself.

For those of you jeep guys who aren't everyday mechanics, like me now lol. take the time to learn the system in its entirety. its not hard. you don't have to remove the rear bumper either but it makes looking at the evap system much better. you can remove the plastic splash guard to access the canister. got any other questions buzz me
