Wj Wj with lean bank1&2 codes low fuel pressure

Ok I have 04 Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 Limited four-wheel-drive just hit 100k About a week ago I had a problem It through two codes 0171 0174 Bank one and bank to lean I had been having starting issues a couple days prior to the codes being thrown It will start according to the fuel pressure regulator gauge I put on it I have around 20 pounds of pressure When I shut it off it drops instantly I am able to drive it at half to three quarters throttle But when I stomp on it It goes to about 3000 RPMs and sits there it does not climb in speed or rpm's At least that I know I don't want to sit there at wide-open and it's not doing anything You can hear it sucking in the air She is not putting out the power though I have blown out all my Fuel lines replaced the fuel pump And the fuel filter I'm at a total loss on what to do. I need help this is all I have to get around thank you

It sure sounds to me like either the replacement pump is faulty or the replacement pressure regulator/filter is faulty. Did you buy new parts and/or have any difficulty replacing those parts?

The pump is good the fuel filter regulator were easy to put in with no hiccups this is the second pump I took the first one back to napa because I thought it was faulty and they swaped it out for a new one no questions asked

The fact that the fuel pressure drops to zero instantly indicates probable bad check valves in both the regulator/filter and fuel pump. The attachment, copied from the 04 FSM, justifies that conclusion.

Unless the pressure measurements are really inaccurate, I have to think that the regulator and pump are probably bad, or they were not the correct parts to begin with, or they were not installed correctly. There are ways to check them out individually, but IMO a visit to a professional who has the correct equipment may be a necessary expense for the needed accurate diagnostic help. Good luck!
