This is how I mount mine. The CB is very configureable how it sits which gives it lots of places it can be mounted. Designed to go between doors, hoods, etc.

I used the Dodge Ram hood mount found at the amazon link that was posted earlier. I could have made the mount, but I really wanted the flat wire mount and it wasn't too much for the combo wire/mount. Here are some of my pics:




You just route the wire through the rubber grommet that the rest of the tail light wires go through:
