Make sure your axle is centered with the adjustable track bar.

sinbad85 12-10-2011 08:37 AM

If you don't have enough caster it will be all over the place, Also if your box is to tight and the steering wheel does not return easy you can loosen the box up a bit.

Are the sway bars connected?

98SilverBullet 12-19-2011 03:25 PM

Turn wheel and wheel stays turned you need to have the toe, and caster checked. Caster needs to be around 4.5-5.5* ideally for most setups. Too little caster like 2* or less will cause the WJ to become a roller skate and the steering will not come back to center like it should.

As mentioned -- caster.

Hopefully the zone kit included at a minimum, adjustable uppers. If not, you are SOL.

Pull your upper control arms and look at the bushings, axle AND frame side. If the jeep has had a rough enough life to destroy lower control arm bushings you have to expect the uppers to be in rough condition.

What does the zone kit do for the rear A-arm and it's balljoint?

BreadsWJ 12-20-2011 12:27 PM

also rear sway bar, upgrade to Addco if not already done.

I believe the kit has a spacer for the ball joint.

I have had to deal with many customers who have the zone kit and have actually talked to zone and the have issues as well without adjustable control arms you can not get enough caster and eventually you will het the death wobble back sorry to say the best thing to do would be a long arm up grade to get the proper caster back in the axel I think iro sells add on long arm kits.... I think
Hope this helps
