WJ - 4.7 top end off, proven mods

I have the top end of the motor off and was wondering if there are some proven mods.

HO cams, HO manifold, headers, etc....

Looking for best bang for buck type mods.

No sniffer tests here so are the headers/no cats a good improvement?

Thanks

HO cams?

I've only found 1 aftermarket cam profile...

What cam/header/intake combo will get me 300? Thats whp too? Thats probably about 350-360 at the crank.

Many have probably not found 4 wheel dyno's but any of those numbers proven either by track improvements for actual dyno numbers?

Require premium? Idle and driveability quality?

contact Crane, lunati,or hell even Mopar Performance cams..they should have an aftermarket cam for the 4.7...

and yes the HCI swap would put you in the 300+rwhp range..
and tuned right you can run on regular pump gas..but that is a proper tune by someone..while running a full ingnition system...and a damn good fuel system...it can go on and on...just a matter of what exactly you want to do and budget..

Is that a banable offense?

Thanks...I'm used to LS1 stuff and there are so many 'recipes' for different HP levels, its a lot tougher to find 4.7 stuff.

Tuning isn't a problem but do most run aftermarket ECU's or just ignition systems?

There was a company I found, K something or other, can't find them again...had a few cam profiles available but I'm looking to replicate something that worked for someone else, something I know works.

Sounds like you're thinking of KRC for the cams.

Most people use the existing ECU and add a Mopar chip or something equivalent and just upgrade the ignition system.

Nick at kolak@aol.com might be a good person to ask about all of this as well.
