Window problem

My driver side window is broken. The window hasn't fallen down so I don't think it's the regulator. When I hit the switch for it It I don't hear anything and the same thing happens if I try the switch on the door. What could cause this? Messed up wires? All other windows and switches work

It's the rear window

Could be regulator, motor, or wiring. Take the door panel off and watch what happens when you try to operate (leave plugged in)

Bang on the door a couple times. This will knock out any carbon deposits on the brushes allowing them to work once again for a short period of time. If it works you know it s the regulator.

This happened to my rear door. There is a plastic piece the cables route through that breaks. One end of the cable jammed and the motor would not run. No noise no operation. If you find this is your problem I can tell you how I fixed it with a zip tie and the window works great. The window tracks get dirty and grimly and cause excessive resistance when rolling window up or down and will wear out the parts.

What should I look for to try and diagnose the problem? I took off the door but was clueless from there. I'd rather have to fix 5 mechanical issues than 1 tedious electrical issue anyday
