major issues....NO I heard about your unfortunate piston skirt drop issue. Scour craigs list for a WJ 99-2004 or a TJ 2000 or 2001 (whenever they started using the coil pack) and those will drop right in.

Should be 01-06 for a TJ, but need to swap in the WJ accessories, if talking about the 4.0. 98 and newer grand and pre 01 XJ will take a lot of work.

Gray 99 Laredo with '04 driveline wap. Tons of fun coming soon. Steel bumpers. 5 1/2" IRO coils, IRO adj. track bar. Rancho RS9000 Addco rear sway. 2"x.250" DOM long arms with johny joints. Custom A-arm with ball joint delete (J-joint). JK Moab wheels/ 33x 12.5 x 17 Cooper SST. Bushwacker Flares.

In addition, using an engine older than the vehicle you are swapping it in is against federal emissions laws. You'd probably never get caught, but imagine you sold the vehicle out of state to someone who needs an inspection done.
