Im currently running IRO 3 inch lift with 265 75s and I the only rubbing I have is on the front driver side lower control arm. Other than that its been great for me.

I'm planning on the same lift and trying to figure out the same thing. I'm pretty sure I want less backspacing on my new rims and I'm not sure how that effects rubbing and stuff. It would give more clearance on the inside against the control arms but I think it causes more rubbing against the front bumper when turning.

IRO says that 265 70 16's fit without rubbing but may occasionally contact rear shocks???
265 75 16's require minor trimming when sway bars are disco'd.

I was contemplating the 245's as well but I'm not sure how they would look. What do you think?

Here are some tire sizes compared side by side:

O yea I forgot my tires are rubbing the rear shocks also... Forgot about that. But rims with about 4-4.5 inch backspacing should be very good for that application

Have you noticed much of a difference in fuel economy?

the 245/75 and 265/70 are pretty much the same size and only about an inch larger than stock. They don't really seem worth it to me.

I'm probably going to go with the 265/75's unless I go with a 15" rim then I'd choose a comparable size.

As far as the gas mileage question, yea average mileage has gone down about 1 to 2 mpg but not too bad.

Here are a couple pics of it right after the lift and tires. I dont have any current pics.
