Why is gear oil coming out of my diff vent?

What could possibly cause the positive pressure to force the oil up the line?
Just changed diff cover to a Blue torch fab. Filled the diff to just under the fill hole with some Royal purple?
Everything looked OK when I had the cover off.
It's worth mentioning that a P.O. or shop cut the tubing about 4 inches off of the top of the axle and zip tied a union into the cut. That's where it's leaking.
Any ideas?

My guess is bubbles are forming while you drive, could be the wrong oil
