yeah controls are not particular to the CD-changer. i suggest that if you really want to add a changer in there, that you take out the box and see if there's any wiring below. somehow, I'm thinking you don't (why wire it and not add it..), but you never know. If it doesn't have the connections ready, consider swapping the head unit with a multi-CD capability.

Well I don't have steering controls, or the CD changer, but I have the premium radio and the wirings for the steering controls circa 2001. They switched premium radios in 2002 and I'm still adhering the to theory that jeep knew the replacement was coming and burned off excess stock of their "premium 99-01"
