If I don't have the bracket, nor the wiring, I might not want to install it. I don't really want to run wiring all the way across the cabin, and spend 36,345,987 hours figuring out how to route the wiring and hide it, yanking out the radio and connecting the harness, etc.

But one question remains. If the diagram from Chrysler claims the 10-disc was standard equipment in the Limited 'K' trim, then why do I own a Limited trim vehicle, that never even had it installed? Better yet, why would they affix all the warning and instructional labels for the 10-disc changer in the rear cargo area, and why would they give me a head unit with the CD-C button? Just in case I added it on later?

I had a look on eBay. They are as cheap as $40, and as expensive as $350.

Well, Jeep replied to my email, and sent me my build sheet. I didn't see the 10-disc anywhere in the build sheet. Here's a snippet of the entertainment section.

I still think my explanation is pretty logical. I mean they DID switch radios in 2002.....so you have the premium radio, like me, without the options. As far as you getting the rear trim panels for it, thats a strange one.

I wonder if since you have the changer controls if maybe the wiring harness is just in the back in hiding? If it is I can't image putting one in to be very difficult.

As far as price for one I would think $75 - $100 would be fair. But I did also see a few for sale on flebay for $40+. But why buy off there when you could keep it real here on JF? I just think helping a fellow Jeeper rather than a vendor is A+!

No Jeep :(

If you don't have any connectors, it may be cheaper to just replace the deck with a CD player (and a USB port ).

My 2K WJLim came with.. but over the past 4-5 yrs, it has the nasty habit of choosing if it wants to play any of the 10 CDs. I've since then gone to the cassette adapter route.

FrenchDip is right on. The daggum thing never plays consistently anyway and more often than not, it doesn't.

It will be an exercise in futility to purchase & install it when there so many great alternatives out there.
