Try a left hand thread coarse Tap about 1.5 - 2 mm diameter larger than the hole.
If it bites sufficiently you should get the plug out.
Alternatively Drill it through and use an easy out.
You should be able to pick up a replacement plug from a hydraulic supplier.

Thx JF, hot a couple offers for used transfer cases, but shipping ruins the deal for me,,,

So a rebuildt 247 or used in Good working condition, low milage is preferable, is highly wanted.

Or the rear housing with filler and drain plug only,
If anyone have a wrecked one they would like to part out?

That would save me huge on freight costs to Norway, and mine is still working, but leaking from crack around fill plug, which is stuck
And i cant refill it,,,,

So i sure have a upcoming problem, hmmmm
