Wj What's this switch for?

it's under the driver's side dash. i though maybe it would turn the light on/off, but no. the black knob to the right of it, turned the light off when i turned it..

Looks like for an aftermarket remote start or alarm system. Look under the dash on the drivers side and see if you see a bunch of bundled wires or a module.

the only "aftermarket" thing i know of is a GPS tracking device the dealer i bought it from installed, so if i skip town without paying my loan they can track me down. and yea there is a module under the steering wheel.
