Wj What would you say is the most important upgrades for your WJ

If you had a bone stock WJ what would be the first aftermarket upgrades you would put on? Id like to know peoples opinions for not only myself but other newbies out there. Thanks

Depends on what you are going to do with it. DD, weekend warrior, mall queen, trail rig?

Decide what lift you want and build the jeep around it.

What engine and drive train? I would start with recovery points and a t-case skid and go from there. Maybe go with a 2''bb or 3'' lift after that and some new rubber for it. a decent AT. You would be surprised at how capable a stock WJ is offroad.

  • Tighten the loose nut behind the wheel.
  • Install the highest quality tires, brakes, and shocks available.

Mall Queen it is. A stock WJ is capable and can be a head turner.

If you're serious about taking it off road, armor and recovery above all else.

There's a whole mountain of cosmetic and mechanical stuff we can play around with on any vehicle but good driving on safe underpinnings fit the definition of the word important.

You want to lift it to get peoples' attention? Or have you actually encountered a situation in which you would have fared better with a bit more ground clearance or tire size? Those are two different things, even though they might be answered with similar strategies.

The stock stereo and underlighting are just downright unsafe.
