I have an '04 with the 4.7 and I wanted just slightly louder than stock with a mellow sound but aggressive tone when you gas on it. I bought a thrush turbo muffler from autozone with an 18" pipe extension and 2 exhaust clamps for $50 and it fit right in place if the stock muffler when I cut it out. Took about 30 min to do.

Same engine, stock size tubing (2.5"), I have a Flowmaster 50 SUV... its 'meh'.

People outside tell me that the noise is good, and sounds rumbly, but inside it is too wheezy (if that makes any sense) for my taste (Though I think it may be an issue with partially clogged pre-cats, there seems to be a lot of noise coming from that area).

I can get a video up if you want, just message me and let me know, (I don't have as much time to check JeepForum anymore, so getting a message on the app will remind me to do it).

I don't run a muffler and the best part is its free. I personally like the sound of open exhaust.

3" magnaflow cat to flowmaster 70 to a turn down I got from Kolak. I love it. Not very loud, but you know it's there. Everyone that hears it loves it too.
