What Diff??

I have a 2000 4.7 with QDrive trans. My front diff is noisy and I want to change the whole axle out whilst I rebuild.

Will a front axle out of a Qtrac car work (assuming correct ratio)?

All V8 WJ's have the Dana 30 front and Dana 44a rear with 3.73 gears. Any axle would work, although some came equipped with a Vari-Lock LSD.

With QDrive you do have a Vari-Loc front differential. Although a Qtrac (actually it's Quadra-Trac II) front differential will work, you will lose the Vari-Loc LSD function.

quadradrive vehicles have the spicer hydralock(jeep varilock) lsd in them(requires different length axle shafts from the open diffs or other lsd types.

if you just want to add an lsd case there are many options available. the true track being one of the highest rated.
