Not to brag but there are a set of JK axles on CL in Saint Louis for $795. If I was going that direction with my build I would definitely snatch those up. Seems like a good price even though it would take some fab work to get them all set up.

It's actually official. She's been sold. Signed the title over and turned in tags today. I haven't been this sad since my German Shepard died in 8th grade... It's been real... It's been fun...

EDIT: Like I said before, though, I got a new GC. I'm not leaving; I'll just be over on the ZJ side for the most part from now on. The new owner of the WJ said he'd get on here and keep everybody updated.

Got a tire plugged! Have to take it back tomorrow...still got a leak! Realized I really need to change the driver side window motor....it was a little chilly driving home at 35 degrees tonight after running through the drive thru of Taco Bell...Had the motor for a week now, just haven't had a chance to do it...looks like it will be tomorrow sometime!

BTF is going to be your only option for HD cover. Spend the extra couple bucks and buy the pre-welded on, as the kits are a PITA without a jig.

BOT: got my tires mounted and balanced today and did some work on the D44a truss/skid last night after work. then tracked down a clunk, track bar is walking in the mount. I've got the KOR kit to fix it but does anybody know how hard it is to find a 9/16 drill bit on a Friday afternoon lol

No I need to find a differential not a cover. I've got a shot vari lok right now. Need either another vari lok or open carrier and matching shafts.

I feel like a kid at Christmas, facing a nasty/choppy climb and having several attempts at it with various 4wd options. 4PT is a beast. Love it. The jeep doesn't really like the soft stuff on steep climbs though. I sank pretty good a couple times going full throttle straight at it (for momentum). Liberating though. I put a few stripes down the side of my paint job with an overhanging branch. It was either that, or the cliff on the other side. I kinda like the stripes though. Feels right.

It's like snowshoeing through several feet of powder. You just get to a beautiful, serene spot and stop, realizing that very few people can experience this place you've managed to get to. Too rare of an occurrence.

Who would I share such a good time with if it wasn't for the jeep forum crew.
