Re&Re Rad

Finished off replacing the rad. What a job that is. I can remember the days when I could swap a red in half an hour. I machined the locking tool for the pulley because I could see another way to lock the pulley. For the rest things were pretty straight forward but again what a job!

Replaced my mysterious missing trackbar bolt, lucky I had a spare bolt in the shop. Also noticed my pitman arm was moving up and down a little with someone steering, I cranked that nut down and now my steering is tighter than its ever been. Go figure lol

forumrunner_20121116_163120.jpg

Then I hooked up my cb that my boss gave me, bought the antenna and made the mount.

forumrunner_20121116_163351.jpg

Cleaned up my previous failed bedliner job.

forumrunner_20121116_163622.jpg

And put on my nra sticker that I forgot I had.

Don't really wanna burst your bubble or anything but I hope you didn't pay extra for it being factory because Im pretty sure that's not a factory hitch. Factory one doesn't have as much drop as that one because it sits up into the bumper to the extent that you have to cut a hole in it and use a factory bezel. The aftermarket ones are fine but I was upset how low they hang down because it was destroying my departure angle and was getting hung up on it so I traded mine for a factory hitch. You'll know its factory if its got the box for electrical, and rings instead of welded gussets for the safety chain.

I already mounted it and it comes out right where it's supposed to through the bumper where the Bezel is at. The p.o. must have removed the hitch before I got the Jeep because there is a cut out and a Bezel but no hitch. But I only paid fifty bucks and fits perfect.

Huh... My eyes deceive me then. And they must have reinforced the chain rings with gusset plates on the newer hitches. Good thing too those rings always looked sketchy to support the shock load of an entire trailer in an emergency... $50 was a good deal. That's what I paid for mine but it was a heap of rust compared to yours, good score.

It could be a home made one but all the welds look good and it's made of good heavy steel.

Well, that explains it. I don't have that button.

EDIT: Nevermind, it was hiding. Found it now.
