i don't have the 4.7L but there should be 2 dipsticks, one for the engine oil and tans. fluid...they should be near each other. they aren't hard to spot.

Built me a little belly skid and trans mount. Made out of all 1/4" or better Steel.

All said and done gained overall 4" of clearance.

Old TJ skid installed. It served its purpose well and got beat to hell.

Looking good. Just waiting for my engine to be rebuilt and put back in. Damn I miss driving my jeep. Rental isn't anywhere near the same.

I put in the Transgo shift kit with new filters. Nothing radical really, but I do like the firmer shifts. I also polished the headlights followed by a wash and vacuum.

I don't have a ****ing asterisk button.

New struts for hood hatch and back glass. Hatch was a minor pain to do by myself. Could used the wife to push the hatch up. But I got it. Now everything stays up when open.

Sent from my iPhone using that little keyboard and big clumsy thumbs.

Finally had to replace the front brakes on my Laredo. Last of the Teves equipped builds it now has the Akebono set up with Summit Racing discs. Took all of 2 1/2 hours.

OK so I didn't do it all in one day but, in this last week:

*Changed transfer case fluids
*Replaced right-rear wheel bearings (omg hate that design)
*Painted diff covers and changed both fluids
*Installed drain plug in rear diff
*Sandblasted and painted air box clips (were rusty)
*Cleaned up and re-mounted my full-spare (also very corroded and wasn't sealing
*Replaced the front-to-rear metal brake line, was almost rusted through, one bend and it broke clean so.. it was toast - good catch on my part.
*Flushed all 4 corners brake lines.
*Changed wiper blades to some nice quiet silicon Bosch ones.
*Finally snagged a OE (Mopar) hitch assembly and a decent install kit from U-Pull it - only had to wait 2 weeks for them to get on that still had it. $25! That made my week haha. My Jeep already has all the other "tow package" stuff on it.. but didn't have a hitch... don't ask me how that happened.
*Changed fuel filter, finally completing all scheduled maintenance on the Jeep after buying 2 weeks ago. PO didn't have records of anything really.. even though I could tell some had been done - couldnt say when.

Only things left to do now are exhaust which I am going to get very creative and do some re-engineering and tires (2), maybe
