Wont bore everyone with details since TC swaps have been covered on here in detail.
Took about 4 hours to swap it including lunch. Had to swap out the input shafts which took about an hour. Everything looked good. Hardly anything on the magnets so that was good.
Had to swap out the studs from the LD to the HD that mount the TC because the HD were longer and you couldnt get a couple of the nuts on after you installed it.
Rebuilt the V8 drive shaft with greasable joints, wire wheeled it down and painted. It fit perfect after the TC was installed. Took it out for a spin when I was done. Got it up to 80 on the freeway with no vibes. Then to a field and ran it in all the TC selections and worked fine.
Here are some pics.
The TC's. You can see the longer input shaft on the V8 TC (the clean one on the left)
How do you like the lift?? I just ordered the same thing from him and got the LAST set of Teraflex spring. Whoot! What tires/wheels are you running?
I like it. I have to fix the rear sway links that are clunking. They sent crappy bolts. Rides good. I'm running 31x10.50R15 KM2's on Cragar soft 8's with 4" back spacing. Minor rubbing on front fascia. Had to cut some off. It did great when I went to Drummond Island wheeling with it.
Installed my HIR's in high's and low's. Just got dark so I'm about to go try them out and see how they look at night. I replaced the HID's on the low's that the PO had installed in the stock housings (illegal and inefficient), so it won't be as a white, but should light the road up better.
crawled under the old heap to discover my front upper CA's have a TON of play. ordering some new bushings from Kolak soon. I can't believe there isn't a write-up on how to change the bushings somewhere on here! i have looked everywhere, PM me if you have a link to one.
