My perches were rotted off as well. A buddy of mine fabd up some perches that will outlast my jeep here's a pic of what it used to look like I didn't take an after picture but its fixed now.

Replaced the driver's side ball joints. Piece of crap AZ tool was bent and made the job take 3x longer than it should but it's done. Next up some new LCA's and eventually a new front drive shaft.

Removed my 10 disc CD changer, so now I have a little storage box for tools and what not.

All in all how long would you say that job took you? I need to do mine when I get home.

Today my WJ sits in the parking lot with the gas light on. Thursday she gets a full tank and a 400mi drive back home for the summer, where she will be pampered with maintenance and parked alongside at least two other Jeeps at all time... Plus I'll have my hose so I can wash my WJ when it gets dirty. I'll also have plenty of time to go wheeling so thatll be awesome.

Just did new TREs and the tie rod replaced with moog parts and my test drive has already left me grinning. I can't wait for a nice cruise back home, not getting thrown lane to lane, not having rediculous play in the steerring... Gunna be awesome

^If my fuel pump goes (and it might be... I'm not quite sure yet) this is exactly how I'm going to do it... cutting through the tire well. Someone oughta post a nice top down picture of the rear tire well so we can all see where to make the cuts

Compcrasher-- I'd say 2-3 hours if you have good tools and it doesn't fight you too much. I was surprised at how easy the old ones came out. The new ones going in were payback for the easy removal. Bent tool wouldn't let me get the top one in square. Don't forget the antisieze!

lol. Like everyone else I am waiting to lift it and then I will decide whether to go the route of mud tires or all terrains. How about you?

Or cut it out and lift it. Really makes the fuel stuff readily accessible

It's a Jeep, it's not supposed to work right all the time.
