Well, it was yesterday, but I got my new 245/70-17 Duratracs mounted up. They look great and don't rub except at full flex, but it REALLY needs the lift now to look like it needs that much tire.

The only downside is one of my TPMS sensors was too corroded to get the core out...they wound up destroying the thing and replacing it with a standard rubber stem. So now I need a new sensor to shut the EVIC up....then get it put back and rebalanced.

Nice looking rig. What size tires are those?

I replaced my front drive shaft with a new to me one that I got from bone yard for $100.00. My old drive shaft had one very very worn out CV joint. The replacement drive shaft looks barely used. My WJ is bone stock and just my DD, so I don't need anything fancy.

It's a Jeep, it's not supposed to work right all the time.

I've only driven them a few miles, but 1st impressions were good. I felt that my stock set-up had too much body roll and it seems to be a little stiffer now, but not too harsh. I'm coming from a fullsize with leaf springs so I might not be the one to ask about ride comfort

Thanks! The ride is ok all things considered. I knew what I was getting myself into when I started because I have 160k on all original suspension parts. Steering stabilizer is blown, shocks are blown, ball joints are loose. So when I'm driving down the highway at speed in a straight line on a smooth road it rides great! Hit some kind of irregularity in the road and you better have both hands on the wheel. The lift and tires magnified the looseness of all the suspension parts. I have some new parts coming in the mail that should take care of all that. What I do like so far is that it feels more solid at slow speeds. suspension is nice and firm, but not rock hard.

Those are 265/76/16 and I love them. Believe it or not, even though they say Good Year on the side wall, they are not Good Year. I got these off treadwright.com. They are retreads, and I am impressed. They have a decent warranty as do new tires, and they look great (guys at the tire shop didn't know they were retreads). And the best part is I saved mucho money. These were only $70 per tire compared to $182 a tire for the Good Years.

Here is another picture of it, what do you guys think of the stance? I only put the 2" lift on the front so far (for tire clearance) and haven't had time to do the rear. Now that I am looking at it though I think I may like it how it is. What do you think?

I replaced mine yesterday too. But I got a brand new one from autozone... Only cost me $65.

You must have a different drive shaft than I have as Autozone wants about $400 for a remanufactured drive shaft with the "CV joints" at each end.

Here is my exact drive shaft...... Autozone wants $383.99 for it after a credit of $60.00 for the core charge. I'm happy with my $100.00 new to me shaft.
