man i read this guys build thread after he spray painted 34 cans of flat black, everyone seemed to dis him.
i personally think it looks like crap as well but....
i got to get on here more often and post pics of mine. not flat black but satin black. Harley davidson "night train black" which is a dupont color from their hot hues collection. $167 a quart i sprayed mine in just under a half gallon. next month im gonna wetsand her down and respray the remaining quart i have.
with an hvlp gun and 30psi i was able to spray the whole jeep 2 almost 3 full coats with one quart of paint.

(my avatar pic)
thats the best i can get for now...from my phone

this will change peoples minds about the "flat" or "semi gloss" colors out there on the wj's this one you almost have to see in person to see the shine of the semi gloss. its almost like a pearl in the paint when you look at it.

Ordered engine oil filter and oil pressure sending unit. Hopefully i'll get them by saturday, so i can do both over the weekend. Hoping to finally change out TC fluid, since new has been sitting in my garage since october
Also cleaned front of the engine. Just sprayed with engine cleaner and hosed off, I want it clean for when i'll change pressure sending unit so i can see it it's still leaking. Plus engine bay could use some cleaning, so i'll propably do a whole engine.
On that note, any suggestions on what to protect from water when i'll do it? Alternator comes to my mind first, battery, fuse box?

All of the guys I know with BMW's steam clean their engine bays. That might be something to look into. Comes out looking like this:

Changed oil, diff, t-case, coolant, and tranny fluids. Ordered spare rim/tire, bull bar, front hitch, winch, synthetic line, recovery stuff. Big money this week but getting ready for the trails.

LED bulbs came in to replace interior & gauge cluster lights. Now they are sitting in the garage next to the new tie rod ends, rear upper ball joint, transmission filter/fluid, Redline diff fluid, coolant flush stuff, new PCV valve, and 4" lift...

Having a new-to-me house that needs work really cuts into my Jeep time!

HAH! I listened that on my (also iphone) phone speakers and I was like whoah that sounds good... so congrats your Jeep sounds good enough to make iphone speakers reproduce a good exhaust tone... then I listened to it on my monitor speakers on my desktop... HOOOLY crud I remember why I love magnaflow (and the 4.7) so much.

HEEEYYYOOOOOO 700 pages!

Anyways, washed and tried out Liquid Glass. So far I'm pleased with it.

Also gave up using the headlight restoration paste and instead used just run of the mill polish for paint, wow worked 100 times better.
