It's a Jeep, it's not supposed to work right all the time.

This morning I pulled the transfercase out of my WJ and tore into it. Swapped input shafts into my donor 242 and now just have to clean the gasket surfaces and remember how to put it all back together. Should be fun.

Unfortunately work is getting in the way for the rest of today. Tomorrow I hope to finish it off and get it ATLEAST ready to install if not installed.

Surprisingly I didnt really have any snags. I didnt have to cut any wrenches to reach the bolts or anything crazy. Used a 3/8 ratchet and a ratcheting wrench and everything was pretty simple. Hopefully installation goes just as smoothly

I found a nice little trail following the Wabash River today and managed to get stuck in the only spot of mud in the area. Found someones floor mats that were abandoned in the woods and used them and some sticks to get out. Thinking its time for some new MTs

^There are a lot of trails following the Wabash. Just be carefull though, not sure if their really for jeeps and such, but me and my father used to ride atv's down the trails. Might look into seeing if its legal or not though in your area to be in there with your jeep.

Never go alone cause you could still be stuck there. Just a bit of advice nothing bad.

The trail I was on was made by some vehicles at least the same size as the jeep. Legality, was probably questionable at best, but not too worried about it as I dont really have plans to go back. Just randomly found it after deciding it was too windy to disc golf out in the boonies today. Oh and still had some bars on the cell so getting stuck wasnt too much of a worry, Ive got enough friends with trucks and the day off.

My buddy cross jumped my Jeep this weekend while trying to do me a favor. We killed it playing music on a camping/fishing trip and he thought he would jump it....lucky it didn't do anything but blow a fuse....I have heard some horror stories about this.

That's why I always keep a box of fuses in the glovebox!

This happened to me too, blew a fuse didnt realize it was fuse i thought the electrical system was shot but after double checking everything it blew my fuel pump fuse causing it to crank but no start. Lesson learned for sure
