I dont like the all murdered out look but with the right accents on a dark vehicle like this it can look really good. So instead of chrome im going for more of a brushed chrome/stainless look. My tow hooks are still chrome but they blend in nicely. My old roof bars were an eye sore, now they really accent the entire Jeep.
Hmmmm, really like that theme, good job!
Also got me inspired to paint my own roof rails, cause FE is hard to find over here, if not impossible. I am also looking for a (bull) bar, and some OVERLAND or freedom edition side rails and 18's JK take offs.

Your Jeep Looks great, keep up the good work.

Edit: washed of some bird**** on my hood today, so i am legaly posting, ha ha.

Hard to find here too but i liked the look. Since I have the front plate holder I felt the silver accent strip would be too much on the front. So I brushed the grill instead. My sliders are overlands that I stripped and painted hammered black so when I scratch them up you wont be able to tell as well. The wheels are 16" JK takeoffs that I bought for $50 last summer. (for all 5!) As far as looks go its about where I want it for an expedition rig. I just need a bike rack and Rolla roof basket to complete the theme.

Decided to paint my wheels to match the bumper. Not many people like the black wheels on this color WJ, but I sure as hell do! I think it came out great, now I need bigger tires and i'm good to go. How do you guys think it looks? (Top Picture is before, bottom two are after.)

jeeplaredo02 The rims turnout really good. The lug nuts and center caps go nicely with the silver paint. I'm planning on having mine powder coated black in a month or two.

well I had to drive away in a hummer due to the fact of me being in the military.. if they would let me drive the WJ to my training sites then I would.. so I think I will keep my MAN CARD and my JEEP CARD because I had no choice but to drive the hummer!!! does it help if there was a turret and a machine gun on top? cause I haven't seen a WJ like that yet.

Good lord that must have been a PITA to take everything out to do that. Any particular reason you did? Or was it just a "fer giggles" project? (I've been known to have a few of them )

Also, I know it's a trivial little question, but how did you get the carpet up from around the rear tie downs without taking them off? Mine are riveted in and I was under the assumption they would need to be drilled out to remove them as well as the carpet back there.

You Sir, can keep your Man Card, and your Jeep Card..... We thank you for your service. Maybe some day, the Military will go back to Jeeps.
