Had the transmission serviced today, new filters, and juice. Shifts better now!! Imagine that. Drenched the shock bolts with PB Blaster. Gonna tackle those this weekend while it's raining.

Wix, Napa, CarQuest, Ingersol-Rand, Purolator, Champion, Donaldson, Fleetgaurd, Motorcraft, Kohler, Mobil1 (Champion Labs), Luber-finer, are all the same filter and are all made by Wix. They are quality stuff.

Napa and CarQuest have what are called first line and second line filters, the second line filters have a lesser quality material in them, thinner paper, less pleats...etc.

Just got off the phone with CarQuest, they said they will replace the filter\regulator if I bring them the "defective" one. I told them I will give another filter a shot to see if it was just a bad filter. (Beats the $100.00 MOPAR Filter). I would hope WIX made quality products by the way people talk about them. But, this being my first experience with them, I'm sure anyone would have the same frustration. How can you tell the difference between "First and Second Line" filters?

The second line filters are Napa Pro Select and CarQuest red (red box), the first line is in a blue and white, or blue and silver box.

Napa Platinum filters have a different type of paper in them and are supposed to last longer. They replaced, or are replacing, the Wix line of racing filters.

The CarQuest filter I got was in a white and blue box. I don't know that is causing it but I read somewhere earlier today that the WIX filters may allow too much fuel, in turn causing the moan. Other places say it's a cracked internal part, or a faulty O-ring (in the filter). I will let them replace it and see what happens, then I will let the opinions form

Oh dang. The 2nd line filters are true for oil filters, I'm not sure if the same rings true for fuel filters, and my wife isn't here now for me to ask. She has worked there for about the past 10 years. Sorry I didn't catch that the first time around.

Ordered a new grill reinforcement. Previous owner busted the reinforcement where the screw for the driver side headlight helps hold the headlight in place and from wobbling around when hitting bumps

@BLACK04WJ Watch it with those quick disconnects! I made some home made ones awhile back and I flexed out my WJ with them still connected. It popped the bushing out and was a real PITA to get back in. Just so you know!

I think it was because I didn't have enough rubber washers. You may wanna shove some more on there.
