Picked up, powdercoated, and installed my bumper. Tomorrow it has to come back off for the winch install because I'm an imbecile and forgot to install it first. Yay.

On another note, i think i may be getting into some fiberglassing now that ive cut up my bumper and its not an exact fit for the carrier

After dropping springs on the last trail run, finally got around to installing iro coil spring retainers. If you have a welder you can make these easily or modify them on your own. The front uppers don't seem like they will hold up unless welded on. With the springs out I went ahead and replaced the coil spring isolators and tightened up the loose track bar bolt (looks like that was giving me the bump induced death wobble). Pics tomorrow after a wash and finally get around to measuring fender to hub.

Drove over to Pismo in the WJ. I'm camping with my family over here, and I just took my Jeep out for a little night drive on the beach. I can't wait to get out it out in the dunes tomorrow!

I don't have a welder or garage, so I'm stuck working on the wj at friends houses. After hearing your experience I feel that these should not be installed unless welded for support. I'll get a welder soon enough and the cheap harbor freight one or any welder should do just fine for this job. I plan to raise the axle to compress the springs with a jack, put spring compressors on, drop the axle to give space up top, grind away where the top coil retainer meets the metal, thenweld it, compress the springs to take off the compressors then not worry about it again. I like this approach because I hate turning the bolts on spring compressors.

You know the rule- pics or it didn't happen. Sounds like the release is imminent.

Installed a set of Spider Monkey wheel spacers. 1 1/4"

Yes, only 2 are shown in the pic, but rest assured, I put on all 4.

Recharged the AC today. I think I have s look cuz it was completely empty after the winter.

Also took the girlfriends ford ranger to a buddys shop for a diagnostic and inspection. 1480 dollars in repairs and fluid changes. Ugh.
