X2 on where you got that trim. That looks good. Vacuumed and cleaned the interior today. Finally had a nice day and some time to do it.

1500 when you max it out. Usually make you back up it after that.

Well, that's the trick. I had to make it, and I'm not so sure how it is going to work out in the long run. I wanted to get feedback on it before I said what it was, LOL.

Went and picked up the tc. Dude threw in what looks like a brand new driveshaft, and the one that is still connected to the tc, a pair of lca's, and shocks for 4.5" lift on an xj. Tried to take the yoke off...got 3 bolts off but the 4th is stripped. What should I do? Just cut the yoke?

not enough room. theres like 2 inches of space over the bolthead, maybe weld a nut on top of it and twist that off?

Attempted to rebuild my alternator. Its the original factory installed unit which gave many years and miles of service but recently I developed a noise in the rear of it. Upon closer inspection after removing what was left of the brushes, a whole 1/8", I discovered the slip rings were worn out almost completely and the rear bearing was nearly trashed. So I already had all the parts with the exception of the new slip ring so I figured why not remove the rotor and replace the bearings? Nope, every single last screw holding everything together stripped out and I broke two snap on impact bits. So screw it, off to the rebuilder tomorrow along with my pride. I guess all the dirt, corrosion, heat, elements, etc just froze everything up. But I have to give it props, it still charged like a champ so maybe itll get a second life tomorrow. Lets see if the pros can do any better.

Took off the SS and death wobble ensued... badly... actually the play is in the pitman arm->drag link connection so it violently was steering left and right and not just toeing the tires in and out... so bad that I almost veered off the road into a ditch. WOW was my SS hiding something. Ordering new moog parts very soon.

Not wood, but excellent guess. They make baseboards in a plastic material instead of wood (has a wood print finish though), and it was the only thing I could find that was exactly 2.5" wide, and about the right shape. I just don't know how this molded plastic will hold up to bumps and door dings and stuff. If I keep it on, I'll see if it can withstand the Phoenix summer.

The good thing is it's only $6 for an 8 foot piece, and only took an hour or so to cut with a dremel, prep and paint. Then another half hour to cut all the outdoor tape. It's still on after a whole day of driving, and didn't peel up at all.
