Can the rear shocks be upside down? (I know there is only one way for the front though)

Is the silver part on top or the bottom? I think the majority would agree that the "rod" part (I don't know what to call it at the moment) should be at the top. I am not sure how the sway bar would affect "bounce" to me, that would be 100% shocks... But I could be wrong...

I knew that. Duh. I don't currently have bumpstops on the rear, so limited flex is good back there. Once that issue is resolved, maybe rear sway removal.

The noob feeling hits me allot too
I ran the fatbobs shocks upside-down in the rear the whole time I had them on my jeep to help clear my tires a little more and had no probs, but as all us jeepers know if it works for someone it doesn't always work for everyone. Jeeps are picky creatures.
Some shocks the direction matters but most don't.
And just because the shocks both came from fatbobs doesn't mean they arnt different.

Took it to a local orv and had a blast. I love my WJ, made lots of popping. I think even front ds making noise but no break downs.
Then I proceeeded to hit some mud at a friends house and I got buried, had to get pulled out by a chevy with 35s.

Impressed myself again with my WJs capability, can't wait to do more.

Future plans include: Disconnects, Tow Hooks, 2 inch springs plus BB or the iro 3 inch kit, and some 245/75 or 265/70 mud terrains along with a Spartan locker in the front.

Got underneath ReeRee to check for anything odd aside for my noob move of installing the rear shocks upside down... Physically the shocks are still good on the outside... Hoping internally the shocks have not been compromised in any way... Also, that Addco 1"er is looking more and more tempting to me... The links look pretty rusty but are pretty solid also... Not sure if they need changed out. Was gonna flip the shocks in the rear when I realized that the stock jack is not high enough to lift her up to do it... Crapola! Guess I gotta head back to Maryland bouncy we will go... Any body got suggestions of a travel jack for a 2" lift aside from the higher jacks for you cats 4" and up with rails and bumper mods?

All looks good to me
I've done shocks without a jack, little harder to get to the bolts but not to bad. And as far as a larger jack you could go the cheap route and find a good sturdy chunk of wood or two to put under it.

As you can see I do that allot

lol Nice... doing it without the jack, there's no issue with the axle not dropping enough or what, because I thought that the axle had to drop some, no?
