Feels much better now, I'll see tomorrow when I'll have another 100 mile trip.
Check your front driveshaft... if you have the shaft with CV style joints, not u-joints, this maybe your problem, not your TC. When these joints fail, they slip causing you to lose your front wheel drive... People say these joints will make noise, but mine didn't make a peep until they were so bad they were ready to explode.

Last day in February, it will be 12 years since I took delivery on my 2000 WJ. It was a leap year in 2000, so I just have to say last day of the month is when I got it.

I have owned my jeep for 1 week and 5 days. anways, very eventful day for my wj. I replaced the alternator, gave it an oil change, new air filter, replaced my headlights since one was chrome inside and fogged like crazy while the other was black inside, and replaced the one missing fog light.

My dad had ordered it from the factory, and we took it with like 15 miles on the odo. Then it was handed to me when I started driving.

Cool! I can't afford a new one yet, but dub has been great and i'm not planning on selling her. Most reliable mode of transportation I ever owned.

My Jeep has been a great DD and very reliable vehicle. It has been overly maintained too. We have been running Mobile 1 Full Synthetic since the first oil change and every fluid is synthetic!

It is a 20.5 Gallon Tank. Then that does not include the filler hose. I have put 21.1 gallons in it before... Not the best idea but didn't have much choice. The fuel gauge was below then E line.

I have the 247 transfer case (quadra-drive), so i think it's CV. I'll have to double check that.
Thanks for the heads up. Any info on how hard is it to replace front DS with (i'm guessing) a double cardan?

bought an 01 Laredo two weeks ago. Was getting 13.3 mpg on my usual route to and from work. Aired up the tires, and dropped in an Amsoil filter, getting 16.4 mpg. Best 35 bones ive spent.

Well, maintenance history on mine is a little vague, but I try to do my best to keep her in good shape. Mine is also a DD (for the next month i'll be doing around 120 miles every work day), it's been great from day one.
I also use synthetic engine oil and i change it every 5-6k miles.

Replaced the timing chain cover gasket. An honest 10 hours and required pulling the radiator and hydraulic fan to fit the puller on the balanced. All the parts stores had the same universal installtion tool that did not work. Had to persuade the balance with hammer and block until 1D of bolt threads would engage.
